Live for God

So you believe in God. you’ve put your faith in Him. He has made you holy. So you ask yourself, now what? We can all say we believe something but until we do something about it and change our ways it won’t matter to anyone else. If we have faith in Christ and want to live for Him we must follow Him. That does not mean we call ourselves a christian or say we believe in Him. We must be active. We must live like Christ lived. This belief will transform you from the inside out. But our actions speak louder than words. We must put our money where our mouth is and do something about it. Just don’t be the bench warmer but be the one in the game. Don’t just believe in God, live for God!

Are you LIVING for God?

Evil

Evil (daily devotion)

Some of us see good all around us, while others see nothing but evil. So, what is the difference you might ask. Our souls become filters. The ones who have Christ in control of their lives learn to see goodness and purity even in this evil world. But unbelieving and corrupt people find evil in everything because their evil minds and hearts color even the good they see and hear. Whatever we choose to fill our minds with will affect the way we think and act. We should turn our thoughts to God and His Word. If you do you will discover more and more goodness in this evil world. A mind filled with good has little room for what is evil.

What is your mind filled with?

Trials

Trials (daily devotion)

We are going to have trials and temptations sent our way. The test is if we will rise above them and make the right choices. No matter what you do you can not keep trials away from you. They will always show up. We live in a world that will bring temptation, tragedy and disappointment. But we must understand that God is doing these things to complete us. With out trials we are not worried about others. If we read the Word of God and trust in it we can get through any trial that is thrown our way. We are not alone, He is right there with us. Life will bring us hard times but God will use those to take us to a place in our faith that we could not imagine.

How will you handle the next TRIAL sent your way?

Lead

Lead (daily devotion)

We should all want to lead people to Christ. It should be one of our main goals in life. Many times we are to embarrassed or are to worried about what someone may say when we invite them to church. We should want to invite everyone we come in contact with to church. Whether it be a church service or an event they are planning. All you need to do is give them the invitation and than the ball is in their court. Than once you lead someone there, you need to stick with them. You need to continue to stand by them and help them with their journey. Don’t just leave them hanging once you get them there.

Who will you LEAD to Christ this week?

Approval

Approval (daily devotion)

Do you spend your life trying to please everybody else? I know most of the time I go through the day trying to please everyone around me. But we really need to focus on God and ask ourselves if what we are doing meets Gods approval. I know we usually look around and think about what everyone else thinks of us but that is not really important. The ones that are judging you should probably be looking at themselves in the mirror. You should do the same before you judge someone else. Don’t worry so much about their approval. If you are following your heart and following God you are on the right track. I pray this week that you can have the courage to seek God’s approval above anyone else’s. Do the same for those around you.

Whose APPROVAL are you seeking-others’ or God’s?
